
Seamless platform shift and operational sync for Skin Health and You
Skin Health and You is a science-backed skincare brand tailored for Indian skin. Backed by Galderma and Elian Trading Company, it delivers dermatologist-recommended products directly to consumers which is simple, effective, and expert skincare without the overwhelm.




Problem statement
With Kartify sunsetting in June 2025, Skin Health and You had a tight deadline to migrate their entire e-commerce setup. While Shopify was the platform of choice, their unique model required all order and customer data to route through Elian, the authorized distributor managing OMS, WMS, fulfillment, and support.
The challenge? Shopify's data structure wasn't compatible with Elian's ERP, requiring transformation and orchestration for seamless integration.
Solution and the tech behind the scene
To ensure technical compatibility between Shopify and the third party OMS, we built a serverless middleware layer using AWS Lambda, which handled all event triggers, data transformations, and API handoffs.
Order fetching & transformation
On each order event, the middleware pulled order, customer, and coupon details from Shopify, reformatted them per the third-party OMS's specs, and pushed via secure APIs.
Inventory sync & fulfillment acknowledgement
Post-fulfillment, inventory and shipment updates from the OMS were sent back to Shopify, closing the loop.

Pincode mapping logic
The middleware utilized a pincode-to-warehouse mapping logic, provided by the third party OMS, to direct orders appropriately to their end.
Coupons, Discounts & Rewards
All promotional logic including discounts, rewards, and freebies remains fully managed within Shopify. The middleware simply extracts applied offers during order fetch and transmits them in the payload, providing the OMS with necessary context without handling any validation or rule enforcement.
